FAQ

How can I get Food?

First give us a call 403-845-7546 we will make an appointment for you.

I dropped in and they wouldn't help me?

We have an appointment only system. We do not have a drop-in service. You can utilize our Little Red Pantries located around town and filled during the week.

When can I come in for an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment

          Tuesday Morning or afternoon    9:45am - 2:15pm

          Wednesday Morning                  9:45am - 11:00am

          Thursday Morning or Afternoon  9:45am - 2:15pm

          Friday Morning or Afternoon       9:45am - 2:15pm

Do you close for lunch?

Yes. We do not schedule appointments from 11:00am till 12:45pm.

What can I expect on my first appointment?

We ask that you bring in ID for each family member. We do not keep copies of the ID's we simply need to verify that you reside in our area and that each household member resides in your household.   We sit you down privately with one of our staff Members who gather your information and create a file.  If there are questions you refuse to answer that's okay. we can leave those blank. It would never prevent you from getting food.

 Who owns the Food Bank?

The Lord's Food Bank is a registered non-profit society. Our goal is to use the resources graciously donated to us to Run our Operations.  Allows for us to operate a hot meal program and purchase Bulk food amounts.

Can I be turned down from shopping with you?

We do everything to try to help anyone who needs help.  We even look for solutions for people who have egregiously violated our polices. For instance abuse of our Staff and volunteers. We would take steps to ensure the health and safety of all according to the policies that are in place.  Yet any staff member here would look for solutions for people to seek help. We are very gracious in our actions and our resources. We want to help those in need. We understand that each individual has a unique situation. We are not simply handing out  food. We are honestly trying to help each person that walks through our doors.

What other programs do you have?

We serve a hot meal to the public Every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30am - 1:30pm.  We have some other initiatives such as a Community Kitchen and other programs that we are excited to be putting together and presenting this year.

Are you a Church?

No. As stated earlier we are a non-profit society.  We will help anyone who needs help regardless of there race, gender, religious beliefs,  or whatever state you are in.  We do not want to judge you. Not our job.
